New Look

So what do you guys think of the new site?

I was extremely bored tonight.

Leave a girl alone on a Saturday night and see what happens?

Cry Me A River

Cry Me A River has a big thing going on at her site about immigrants.

In one of the posts, it says something about "In God We Trust" coming from Christians.

Why does that God have to mean the Christian God? I do not believe God should be removed from the coinage. I do not believe it should be removed from the Pledge of Allegiance.

God is God. Shakespeare once said, "A rose by any other name is still a rose." Or some such crap.

Same goes for God. Allah. Buddha. Osiris. Odin. Whomever.

Get over it, people. Just because I call it shit and you call it manure, it's still all the same.

Oooppss

Do you see that post below? Do you see those typos?

That is what I get for blogging when I was half asleep and with a full hangover.

Morning

Well, we survived the night. I made me goal of having a hangover. It isn't too bad, but, amn, I've forgotten how awful hangovers are.

I bought a beautiful cafe-au-lait colored chemise with lace around the top. I can't wait to wear ikt. It should arrive in about 2 weeks.

I'm off an running again this morning. M's school fundraiers craqp is in and I have to go get it.

Then I am off to Best Buy to get a cordless Trackball.

Then tonight, I have been invited to a Drawing Down The Moon ritual in The Cities. I have never been to one, so I ma very excited to go.

Don't forget to watch the luncar eclipse tonight. Starts at about 8:00 eastern time.

See ya

Party!

P and I are going out tonight. We have been invited to an Undercover Wear couples party. That means it is coed.

I plan on drinking a LOT! And waking up with a hangover tomorrow. Been a while since I was that intoxicated.

As most of you know, I had an Undercover Wear party a few weeks ago. I finally received my stuff the other day.

I bought matching nighties for my daughter and me. They fit us both perfectly.

I also bought a beautiful black, floor-length negligee with matching robe. It is sheer and very lacy. It is also too small. I am taking it back tonight. I am going to get a larger size. It fits for the most part, but it does not fit across my boobs. You see, I ahve the Grand Tetons under my shirt. Do you know how hard it is to find clothes to cover those mountains??

Anyway, I think I can go another size larger and the negligee will fit over the boobs. At least I hope so.

Wish me luck. Oh, and since I am cheap and won't pay for my blogging space, there will be NO pictures.

Sorry, Penny.

Posts

I have started this post several times. I just can't seem to get my thoughts straight.

Guess I will try again tomorrow.

I need sleep. And a hug.

Blog It Forward

The Rules:

The rules are simple. You simply pick someone off of your blogroll (or link list) and tell us why they are link-worthy (alright, you can pick more than one if you must).

I am picking Buddha over at Almost Titled.

His blog was the first one I ever read. I immediately got hooked. Followed him over to Erica's.

From there I found Rob.

The rest is history.

Anyway, go read Buddha. He is an awesome poet and I love the way he writes about his lady love. Maybe someday someone will write about me that way. *Sniff*

Snow

We got our first real snowfall Monday. We only got about 2 inches, but it was so pretty. Big, huge flakes.

Winter time is here. Temperature outside right now is 28 degrees fahrenheit. Wind chill is 19F.

So all you people in the southern states, I hope you are enjoying yourselves. Enjow some sun for me. I won't see sunshine again for about 4 months.

Stuff

I know, I know. It's been a while since I wrote in my blog. There has been lots I wanted to say, just no ambition to say it.

I had the weekend alone with my kids. That was pretty cool. P went north to see his dad.

My aunt and uncle came from Idaho and spent Saturday with the kids and me. That was a lot of fun. Reminisced about a lot of things. When my boys were small, we lived with my aunt and uncle for a few months. I had also lived with them for a while when I was 13. Spent a whole summer at their house.

It was at their house that I learned to drive the tractor. I learned to buck bales and I learned to set siphon tubes. If you have no idea what a siphon tube is, then you are a very fortunate person.

A siphon tube is used to bring the water out of the irrigation ditch and down the rows of plants. They are about 2.5 - 3 feet long and are very small in diameter. I never managed to set it with one hand, like my uncle, but I got pretty good at it.

It was also at their house that I shot my first gun. My cousin had a Daisy BB rifle. He got so mad at me because it was his gun and I was a better shot.

My aunt tried and tried to teach me to cook. I can do some things, but for the most part, I suck at cooking.

My aunt also brought some pics she had of the boys when they were very small. I had forgotten how cute they were. Made me want to go back in time and cuddle them. I did call my son in Missouri and talk to him last night. I really miss him. Some days more than others.
