Happy New Year!

Well, what a week!

I had a strange New Year's. On Wednesday night, we sat around our house and watched movies. Then at Midnight, The Nameless One and I toasted with champagne. The Brat had Sparkling Grape Juice.

About 12:30, Prego called us to wish us Happy New Year. About twenty minutes later, she called again; totally freaked out. She kept talking about a flat tire and some dog that was chasing her.

After she calmed down a little bit, I found that she did indeed have a flat tire. There was a big German Shepherd outside her car door. It wouldn't let her get out of the car.

Finally, some guys in a pickup pulled up to help her. By this time, I am already headed out to get her.

When I got to her, there were 6 high school seniors changing her tire. Looked the starting line-up for our team. They were taking pictures and laughing about how they had done their good deed for 2004 already!

After they fixed her tire, we took it back to town and parked it. Then I drove her out to her friend's house where she was originally headed. We sat out there for a couple hours laughing and talking and playing cards.

We took her friend home and went home ourselves. By the time we got home it was almost 4am.

On New Year's Day, we went shopping and looked at baby clothes. It was so cool just hanging out and doing girl stuff.

That is the most fun I have had on New Year's Eve in years!

I am so grateful Prego moved in with us!

Monty Python

I was over reading Eric's blog earlier. He is yakking about stuff he discovered in England and Scotland.

One of the things he discovered was Monty Python. I have been a Monty Python fan all of my life. My whole family used to sit around and watch it all the time.

My favorite skit? The Lumberjack Song.

I also loved it when they would ride the horses and use coconuts to make the sounds of horses walking or running.

Cracks me up just thinking about it...

Oh, I'm a Lumberjack
And I'm okay...
