Relationship

Pat called me finally. Hadn't heard from him in two weeks and he called me last Sunday.

He acted like there was nothing wrong and expected me to welcome him back with open arms. I was very cold to him and he couldn't seem to understand what the problem was. He got very upset when I told him I wasn't driving two hours to pick him up and bring him home.

Then he called me Wednesday night. Intoxicated. He said he wanted to quit the job he is doing and come home. Then he would do day labor. Meaning he would work and gt paid the same day.

I can't imagine what he is thinking. He needs to get a real job and help pay bills. I am tired of spending all of my paychecks on bills and stuff while he blows all his money on cigarettes and bullshit.

I didn't argue with him when he called because I want him to remember what I say. And as drunk as he was, he would not remember the conversation.

This would be so much easier if I weren't still madly in love with the man.
