Military Draft

Gut Rumbles is talking about how some dork in Congress is talking about reinstating the draft because we don't have enough soldiers.

But on the flip side, Devin is talking about how they are getting rid of people left and right.

When I was in the Navy, we also went through the "get rid of all non-essential personnel" thing. If you were a tiny bit overweight, lose it or lose your rank.

Then suddenly, they were trying to recruit everyone within sight because there weren't enough people to fill all the slots.

I don't think they should reinstate the draft. I am not saying that from a military viewpoint because I don't know what state of disarray the military is in anymore. I am saying that as a mother of a son that will be 18 in 7 months and another who will be 18 in 21 months.
