Cats

We have four cats in our house. 3 males, one female.

Our oldest cat is Spike. Better known as Fat Cat. He is black with white spots on his chest and by his nads. He is very laid-back and is a total wuss. I think that cat is afraid of his own shadow. We have had him for a few years. A friend gave him to us as a kitten.

The second-in-command is Snotface. He is white with a black cap over his ears. He has a black spot on his back and a black tail. He is a bird-catcher. He loves wild bords. They are his favorite food. Every time we let him out, he catches another bird. Sometimes he catches bunnies, but mostly birds. Swallows, robins, cardinals, you name it - he catches it.

Snotface's mother was a beautiful calico that we lost one winter. She and a whole batch of kittens. We think the hawks got them. Snotface is all we have left from her first litter.

The other two cats belong to the girl renting our basement.

She has Casey who is an older calico. We think she is about 9. That cat is a true bitch. She hisses and everything and everyone. Drives me nuts.

The other cat is tiger. He is an orange tabby. He is a young cat and is a lot of fun. We play with him almost every night. He chases a feather tied to the end of a string. I've seen him make leaps 3-4 feet high. Pretty amazing.

No dogs in my house. We live in town and I don't believe dogs belong in the house or the town. If we someday move out in the country, we might get a lab, but don't count on it.
